Are You Working On Your Wardrobe?

by Bojana Graus

Have you been thinking that, while you might have a lot of clothes in your closet, you often feel like you have nothing to wear that makes you feel like you look your best. If so, from making an assessment of your clothes to arranging for leather repair services, here are some ideas for you.

Make An Assessment - Take the time to go through all of the clothes in your closets and drawers. Also, if you don't have a full-length mirror, consider buying one. Once you have the time and a mirror, think of trying on clothes to see if they have redeeming qualities. For example, when you try on a broom stick skirt you've had for a long time, you might realize that by buying a new peasant blouse, you would have fun wearing the skirt again.

On the other hand, you might try on a black column dress that still looks good on you, but that shows too much wear. Write down the things you need to buy to replace worn out items or to breath life into new outfits. For the things that you know you absolutely won't wear again, designate a place where they can be placed so that you can later take them to a charity organization.

Pat Attention To Accessories - As you go through your clothes, don't forget to check out accessories and shoes. For example, you might have a leather belt that would look great with the broomstick skirt and the peasant blouse. However, that belt might look too worn to wear. Or, years ago you might have inherited a great leather vest from one of your parents. Maybe at the time the leather vest was given to you, words like You'll probably want to get this spruced up before you can wear it, accompanied the gift. If so, take the vest to leather repair services.

No matter if it's a leather belt, a leather vest, a leather purse or anything else that is made of leather, experts can make your leather items look beautiful again. The workers at a leather repair shop will have the training and the experience to advise you on whether the item is a candidate for repair. Even though there will be a cost to repair leather items from your wardrobe, it will still more than likely be less expensive than buying a totally new leather accessory.

About Me

Finding Appropriate Attire

For years, I worked for a company that didn't care much about what I showed up in for work. I would wear really casual clothing, such as a tank top and a pair of cut off shorts. Unfortunately, once I got a better job, my new employer was less-than-enthused about my choice of duds. She explained that they were trying to make the customers feel comfortable and improve the store culture and asked that I wear more professional attire. I started shopping for items that would look neutral, and I was able to find some pieces that I looked great in. Check out this blog to learn more about finding appropriate attire.
