How To Celebrate Your Bike-Loving Husband's Birthday

Some men are addicted to watching sports on TV, so if your husband's love is riding bikes, count yourself a lucky woman. Your husband has chosen a sport that puts him outdoors, enjoying the beauty of nature and building his body at the same time. If he has a birthday coming up and you are trying to be creative in how to celebrate that event, here are some ideas for you.
Start The Day In A Big Way - Breakfast in bed would be really terrific. Make something out of the ordinary like huevos rancheros, crepes, or even a breakfast steak complete with potato wedges and a fruit smoothie. Do you ride bikes yourself? If so, one really fun idea for breakfast is to pack a picnic breakfast and bike with your husband to a park or another beautiful place in the countryside. Whether you serve him breakfast at home or whether you go out to eat, surprise him by wearing a bike T shirt yourself. Are your children going to be part of the breakfast surprise? Then get them bike T shirts, too, and have a matching one ready for your husband to wear. Just count that as an extra gift!
Plan An Event - Does your husband have friends he likes to bike with? If so, surprise your husband by coordinating a big bike ride and tell the guys to plan on coming to your house for lunch or for your evening meal. Make sure that your husband doesn't have to lift a finger as you cook something like hamburgers, hot dogs or steaks. When it comes time for dessert, have a birthday cake that features a bicycle design and words like Happy Birthday To My #1 Biker!
Buy A Great Gift - Since your husband loves to ride, he probably already has a good bike. If not, and if your wallet is full, buy him the bicycle of his dreams. Another idea is to give him a gift basket full of bike accessories like tools, a bike GPS, snacks that he can take on bike treks, a special water bottle and bike T shirts in different styles and designs. A good idea is to buy him T shirts that he can layer so that he can start off with a long-sleeved one in the early morning and, when the day gets warmer, a short sleeved T shirt will already be under the first one.
No matter what you plan to do, be sure to take plenty of pictures so you can frame some of them for keepsakes.
